Sri Lankan speedster Matheesha Pathirana was initially brought in as a replacement in IPL 2022 but has since become a key weapon in CSK’s bowling arsenal. The slingy pacer brings a lot to the table: Swing, Seam, slower ball, yorkers and forms the core of the CSK pace attack. Given his skill, talent and performances, it was a no-brainer that CSK retained him ahead of the 2025 TATA IPL Auction.
